MADE IN TOWN, inaugurates Le Bureau TRICOLOR in partnership with PARIS GOOD FASHION. It is the first resource centre exclusively dedicated to the French wool sector. A shop, a showroom, a materials library along with a programme of events and meetings designed to promote the use of wool from French sheep shearing by fashion and design professionals.
Connoisseurs is a unique publishing house that cultivates its plurality. Launched in 2017 by the visual artists Karina Bisch and Nicolas Chardon to promote contemporary painting, the project is based on the prolixity of the links that the two founders nurture with a generation of emerging artists. The duo multiplies the publishing of catalogues and artists' books and presents at Made in Town the fruit of their first two years of production. Four questions to Nicolas Chardon.
The third and final stop on the itinerant exhibition The Lace Review, which brings together the last 14 Leavers lace factories still in operation in Calais and Caudry, takes place on 16 and 17 July 2019 during the Première Vision exhibition in New York.

The collection of clothing and textiles developed by French designer Cathy Amouroux in collaboration with Ereena's Indian workshops, specialists in "eri" silk, can be discovered exclusively at Made in Town.
The first stage of touring exhibition The Lace Review, that brings together the 14 last manufactures of Leavers lace still operating in Calais and Caudry, is held from March 22nd to May 1st 2018 at the Museum of Contemporary Art (MoCA) of Shanghai.

In the build-up to the Paris Fashion Week, Made in Town presents Monteneri, an Italian platform dedicated to know-how in the fields of fashion and design and whose business strategy has been developed by Made in Town since its launch in 2015.
Design for Peace presents at Made in Town its first collection of decorative objects and fashion accessories: Transhumance. It is the result of seven weeks of collaborative work between seventeen Malian Tuareg craftsmen – now taking refuge in Burkina Faso – and six young French designers, who were gathered in Ouagadougou for a 50 day residency.
Made in Town interrupts the daily grind, taking a voyage south to the Midi-Pyrenees region of France, in pursuit of local savoir-faire and products, desiring (as always) to strengthen the bond between the public and producers. The exhibition Made in Town / Montagne Noire parks its suitcases first at the Castres Economic Fair.
To celebrate the good days, Made in Town ends the season with a creative selection of beautiful products and good ideas to accompany you throughout the summer. Summer Inventory is showcasing colorful objects and accessories. Chosen by Made in Town, they reflect an original approach of menswear wardrobe, graphic arts and tableware, based on local production and craftsmanship Made in France or Made in Italy.
Starting on May 20th and in parallel of the D'Days, Made in Town is donning Denmark's colors and entering a 100% design program. The workshop is welcoming within its walls the Nordkraft project which showcases Danish lifestyle essentials through Internet: selling furniture, objects, graphic art, with brands and designers typical of the Nordic spirit.
Made in Town is hosting the result of 15 years of collaboration between Philippe Millot based in Paris and Cent Pages editions based in Grenoble. This show will allow to discover the exciting process of the designing and manufacturing of books, singular objects made of intelligence, ink, paper and words, result of this long-term evolutive and demanding dialogue.
Made in Town is home to the first collection of Moy, a line of t-shirts drawing on the skills of Chanteclair. Designed by Yasco Otomo – a Japanese fashion designer now living in Paris for more than a decade – the collection revisits the French tradition of knitwear.
Folkdays is born from the travel discoveries of Lisa, Heidi and Kimon, three friends who fall in love with various local crafts while abroad. Wanting to support the local businesses they had found and sharing the techniques they had seen, they partnered with seven artisans to create a selection of bags, jewellery and accessories available under the brand Folkdays.
As the holidays approach, Made in Town presents an ephemeral selection of furniture, objects, accessories and clothing. For this winter inventory, Made in Town gathers the work of twenty ateliers of different disciplines proposing a variety of products, each born from local fabrication.
Through gestures and savoir-faire we witness the realization of Touchez-voir, a project destined for those who in fact do not see. From the museum archives to the atelier, we observe the birth of an original wardrobe and forms that will soon be joined together in a trunk available to experience at the Palais Galliera.
On the occasion of Paris Fashion Week, Made in Town welcomes Anahide Saint André for the presentation of a limited edition of dresses showcasing the combination of gestures and know-how of Confection de Sully and Plissés de France.
The tradition of Parisian haute couture relies on the expertise and impeccable work of nimble hands. Their dexterity is acquired over time by the endless repetition of the same gestures. With experience, each new hand-sewn point becomes identical to the previous one – this is the measure of quality and exception.
For the launch of Élégance de la Révolte – a timeless line of coats and waistcoats made upon request – Made in Town is turning into a cutting workshop for a few weeks. The workshop puts manufacturing at the forefront, as it unveils the tailor’s gestures, sharpens tools and highlights the know-how handling these tools to transform materials with brilliant craftsmanship.
In collaboration with the management students of Institut Français de la Mode, Wanderlust organized a soirée Sur-Mesure entitled "The thread of fashion" on the theme of fashion and craftsmanship, during which Pascal Gautrand led a roundtable in the company of fashion designer Christine Phung, textile designer Tzuri Gueta, and lace-house Sophie Hallette's market director Maud Lescroart. Together, they approached craftsmanship from the angle of innovation and interrogated its role in the enterprises of tomorrow.
From the model to the storyboard. Made in Town prolongs its reflection around cinematic creation, initiated by the exhibition Boîte à miracles, and welcomes Philippe Terrier-Hermann for the launch of La Trilogie française [The French Trilogy], a public commission of the National Center for Visual Arts and the Minister of Culture and Communication.
To Give Oneself Work is the reedition of a performance realized by Juliette Roche last year at the Glasgow School of Art. Over many days, from morning until evening, the Parisian artist, born in 1987, occupies a space accessible to the public, organized like an atelier. She works there with wood and various materials towards a final exhibition which will conclude the performance.
Under the title "Complément d’objets", Made in Town is exploring the field of design through the work of designers, architects, craftsmen, artists and furniture manufacturers, and focusing on the most distinctive features of designing, handcrafting or industrially manufacturing objects, furniture and accessories. The first edition highlights the work of wood and the various approaches that go along with it.
Discovering a letter from Le Corbusier addressed to Albert Camus, in which the architect explained being "inhabited by the idea of a Boîte à Miracles [Miracle Box]", Hugues Decointet decides to interpret this schema which has for a long time been a part of his work.
On the occasion of the launch of the inaugural issue of Comment Section, Made in Town invites the young Parisian publishing house Holoholo to presente the genesis of this project and its particular principles – writing, graphic design, and publishing – put in place by this artistic collective for the conception and production of these periodical reviews.
Made in Town and Épure Editions invite you to the presentation of L’Excès, 10 façons de le préparer [The Excess, 10 Ways of Preparing It] by Emmanuel Giraud. A pamphlet rebutting our culture of ambient hygienism, the book defends and illustrates excess at the table: recipes based on immoderation, ostentatious wastefulness and provocations of all sorts.
Made in Town presents La Loi des Séries (limitées) which assembles a selection of objects, accessories and clothes – unique or numbered pieces – produced by artisans, artists and designers.
On the occasion of Paris Fashion Week for Winter 2013-14 ready-to-wear, Made in Town presents the work of Sylvio Giardina, Roman fashion designer.
On the occasion of the opening of our atelier, Made in Town proposes, for the first time in Paris, the exhibition When in Rome, do as Romans do. The project, initially developed in 2009 by fashion designer Pascal Gautrand during his residency at the Villa Médicis, takes as its pretext a men's shirt in order to display the richness of artisanship and the inherent multiplicity of local fabrication incarnated by made-to-measure tailoring.
Made in Town welcomes De Bonne Facture for the presentation of a series of models which cast light on the know-how of the French artisans and producers who created them.
