Pic de Nore
The brand manufactures limited series of sweaters and accessories, combining strong design – signature bold patterns and bright colors – with traditional craftsmanship. All garments are knitted locally in the Castres workshops, numbered and partially made-to-measure as they are available in three different sleeve lengths and chest heights.
To preserve the precious know-how of the workers, some of whom have been employed for more than 40 years, head of the company Laurent Brunas has surrounded himself with fashion experts and proudly helps promote the Made in France label.
Pic de Nore took part in the Made in Town / Montagne Noire exhibition, which was held from October 21, 2015 to February 13, 2016 at Made in Town in Paris.
Made in Fontenay-aux-Roses. Both a freelance writer and a press agent, she writes about fashion and people behind it: designers, craftsmen and industrialists. She is a regular contributor on Maison d’Exceptions and Made in France Première Vision online magazines, among others. She is graduated from the Institut de Management et de Communication Interculturels, formerly Institut Supérieur d’Interprétation et de Traduction and from the Institut Français de la Mode.
A luxury gantier which makes superio quality craft-made gloves to fit all types of hands. Alberto Merola, a third generation member of a family of glovers, whose story began in Naples in 1870, relaunched the company in the 60’s, once again making fashionable that which today is one of the prides of Made in Italy craftsmanship.
Made in Town is hosting the result of 15 years of collaboration between Philippe Millot based in Paris and Cent Pages editions based in Grenoble. This show will allow to discover the exciting process of the designing and manufacturing of books, singular objects made of intelligence, ink, paper and words, result of this long-term evolutive and demanding dialogue.
In order to promote the know-how and the characteristics of La Rochère glass factory, located in Passavant-la-Rochère in the French department of Haute-Saône, Made in Town conducted a series of six video interviews of French and European designers, who have integrated the know-how of the glass factory into their creations. Each in their own way, they mastered glass.
