Maudite Licorne ! is a tapestry atelier founded in Felletin, nearby Aubusson, by Marion Lozach, tapestry-maker.
In 2014, Made in Town produced three documentaries about her and her works, which was a request from the Cité Internationale de la Tapisserie et de l’Art tissé, in partnership with the Institut Français de la Mode and the support of the Fondation d’entreprise Hermès, to promote the know-how and the particularities of Aubusson tapestry. Marion Lozach shared her point of view on the know-how practices, developments and passing on.
Made in Fontenay-aux-Roses. Both a freelance writer and a press agent, she writes about fashion and people behind it: designers, craftsmen and industrialists. She is a regular contributor on Maison d’Exceptions and Made in France Première Vision online magazines, among others. She is graduated from the Institut de Management et de Communication Interculturels, formerly Institut Supérieur d’Interprétation et de Traduction and from the Institut Français de la Mode.
Established in the pays choletais (pays de la Loire), a great fabrics tradition area, Confection des Deux-Sèvres (C2S) is the European leader in the manufacture of made-to-measure shirts for women and men.
The first stage of touring exhibition The Lace Review, that brings together the 14 last manufactures of Leavers lace still operating in Calais and Caudry, is held from March 22nd to May 1st 2018 at the Museum of Contemporary Art (MoCA) of Shanghai.
In order to promote the know-how and the characteristics of La Rochère glass factory, located in Passavant-la-Rochère in the French department of Haute-Saône, Made in Town conducted a series of six video interviews of French and European designers, who have integrated the know-how of the glass factory into their creations. Each in their own way, they mastered glass.
