Cap dal Mas Ethics as the Rule of the Game

In the early 2000’s, Benoit Fabrega and his wife moved to Saint-Amans-Soult, a small village at the foot of the Montagne Noire, where they bought a house that they partly turned into a workshop.

The small barn at the foot of the mountain – Cap dal Mas, which means « the end of the village » in the local language, takes its name from the house of the ancestors, situated at the village border

At first, it was more of a leisure activity as they designed and manufactured Christmas presents for their families, but they soon started to increase production and imagine their own collections of wooden toys and games that they could distribute both locally and abroad on their online store. Local productions are essential to Benoit Fabrega, who values quality wood as well as natural glues and dyes for obvious ethical and environmental reasons.

The atelier Cap dal Mas – a production of wood swords, one of the most appreciated toys

The sense of community is also very strong, since all the small producers in the area support each other and Benoît Fabrega buys them all the raw materials he needs.

Cap dal Mas took part in the Made in Town / Montagne Noire exhibition, which was held from October 21, 2015 to February 13, 2016 at Made in Town in Paris.
