Situated at La Ferté-Macé, Normandie, Compédit Beauregard provides its clients the tools and know-how for the entire graphic chain, from creation to printing, for 150 years.
The environment conservation is essential for the company. Since 2006, Compédit Beauregard got the Imprim’Vert certification, which guarantees a great management of waste. It also obtained the PEFC label because they use paper from sustainably managed forests. Moreover, vegetable inks for printing and a lot of different recycled papers are used.
Compédit Beauregard printed a limited edition of Made in Town writing books on sale on Made in Town Shop.
Made in Fontenay-aux-Roses. Both a freelance writer and a press agent, she writes about fashion and people behind it: designers, craftsmen and industrialists. She is a regular contributor on Maison d’Exceptions and Made in France Première Vision online magazines, among others. She is graduated from the Institut de Management et de Communication Interculturels, formerly Institut Supérieur d’Interprétation et de Traduction and from the Institut Français de la Mode.
In his shop in Melbourne, Australia, Aidan Mackinnon lovingly forges high quality knives so that they can be used and passed on to generations of cooks.
In collaboration with the management students of Institut Français de la Mode, Wanderlust organized a soirée Sur-Mesure entitled "The thread of fashion" on the theme of fashion and craftsmanship, during which Pascal Gautrand led a roundtable in the company of fashion designer Christine Phung, textile designer Tzuri Gueta, and lace-house Sophie Hallette's market director Maud Lescroart. Together, they approached craftsmanship from the angle of innovation and interrogated its role in the enterprises of tomorrow.
In order to promote the know-how and characteristics of the tapestry from Aubusson, the county town of the French region of Creuse, Made in Town conducted a series of three documentary videos at the request of the International City of the Tapestry and Woven art, in partnership with l’Institut français de la mode and with the support of the Fondation d’entreprise Hermès.
