Vertbois neighborhood - Marais - Paris
You are a designer, a craftsman, a manufacturer and you wish to promote your work and your brand by showcasing it in a pop-up gallery, store or showroom in the center of Paris? We care about your projects.
Made in Town, in collaboration with the Vertbois neighborhood, is issuing a call for applications to fine crafts and design projects worldwide.
The ambition is to offer in the heart of Paris, in the north of the Marais neighborhood, a new showcase for contemporary design, focused on local manufacturing, the excellence of know-how, innovation and luxury. In this context, the Vertbois neighborhood offers 22 spaces and an annual program of exhibitions around themes or events related to the worlds of art, crafts, fashion and design: FIAC, Maison & Objet, Première Vision, Made in France, European Artistic Crafts Days, Fashion Revolution, D'Days, etc.
22 independent spaces, from 20 to 460sqm, located in the Vertbois, Volta, Mongolfier and Notre-Dame-de-Nazareth streets that are part of the Vertbois neighborhood in Arts&Métiers
TO SUBMIT YOUR APPLICATION:
The applications can be submitted in French, English or Italian. They should be of 10 pages maximum, in PDF format and not exceed 5Mo.
The spaces of the Vertbois neighborhood are of various sizes and can be rented weekly or monthly at attractive fees (ask us for the price list).
Projects will be reviewed by a weekly commission until February 2018.

Made in Paris, 2009. A spot in Paris, a digital platform and an online magazine dedicated to know-how in the domains of fashion, textile and design. A program including workshops, screenings, meetings, and a selection of artisanal and industrial products.
On the occasion of Travel, Marie-Ange Guilleminot and Made in Town organize a series of encounters with guardians of gestures and techniques: costumers, tailors, embroiderers, corsetry-makers, graphic designers.
In collaboration with the management students of Institut Français de la Mode, Wanderlust organized a soirée Sur-Mesure entitled "The thread of fashion" on the theme of fashion and craftsmanship, during which Pascal Gautrand led a roundtable in the company of fashion designer Christine Phung, textile designer Tzuri Gueta, and lace-house Sophie Hallette's market director Maud Lescroart. Together, they approached craftsmanship from the angle of innovation and interrogated its role in the enterprises of tomorrow.
In order to promote the know-how and the characteristics of La Rochère glass factory, located in Passavant-la-Rochère in the French department of Haute-Saône, Made in Town conducted a series of four short videos shot in the heart of the company's workshops.
