Artificial flower made from recycled shirt fabric and manufactured by Legeron in Paris.
Petals in fabric and lace by Sophie Hallette, fruit in papier mâché, peduncle in brass.
XVI collaborates with the house Legeron, which has been specializing for over a century in the confection of artificial flowers, to manufacture a series of buttonholes out of men's shirt fabric. Each buttonhole is unique, entirely made by hand and delivered with a numbered certificate that guarantees the origin of manufacture. The series comes in three models: Rose, Bouquet and Orchid. The Rose model also features the specific work of Sophie Hallette, a lace company based in Caudry.
XVI, multiple vs. unique
XVI is a label specialized in the creation of unique pieces, which aims at highlighting the manufacturing processes and offering a perspective on the notions of cycles and repetitiveness in the fashion system.
